Fratelli Alessandria

Fratelli Alessandria was founded in 1830 by Giuseppe Dabbene. In 1893, Clementina Dabbene married Carlo Alessandria, changing the winery's name from Fratelli Dabbene to Fratelli Alessandria. The winemaking family includes Gian Battista, his wife Flavia, his brother Alessandro, and son Vittore.

The winery is housed in an 18th-century building close to the historic centre of Verduno. The estate has 15 hectares of vineyards in San Lorenzo, Riva Rocca, Boscatto, Campasso, Monvigliero, Neirane, Pisapola, and Rocche dell'Olmo in Verduno, and Gramolere in Monforte. Grapes grown are Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Pelaverga piccolo, and Favorita. A rainwater collection well is used for vineyard treatments. The winery vinifies exclusively estate-grown grapes and maintains a family scale. Self-produced solar energy from photovoltaic panels powers winery operations, and all wines use the lighter Albeisa bottle weighing 450 g instead of the classic 575 g. Its wines include Barolo Monvigliero, Barolo San Lorenzo di Verduno, Barolo Gramolere, Verduno Pelaverga Speziale, and Barolo del Comune di Verduno.
