In 1961, Prunotto began single-cru vinification, producing Barolo Bussia and Barbera d'Alba Pian Romualdo. Architect Ugo della Piana designed the new winery near Alba in 1972. The Antinori family collaborated in 1989 and took over production in 1994, after Albiera Antinori took charge of defining the winery's character in 1990.

Located in Alba, in the Langhe, on the right bank of the Tanaro river, the estate covers about 74 hectares and practices sustainable agriculture and manual work. Vineyards include Bussia, Bussia Vigna Colonnello, Costamiòle, Bansella, Bric Turot, Pian Romualdo, Occhetti, and about 10 hectares of south/southwest-facing Barbera vineyards in Nizza. A vinification and aging cellar was built in 1999, and large Allier and Slavonian oak casks of 27, 32, 53, and 77 hectoliters are used for Barolo, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo. Its wines include Barolo Bussia, Barbaresco, Barolo Cerretta, and Nizza.
