DeMorgenzon is situated deep in the Stellenbosch Kloof, where the estate consists of a 90-hectare biodiverse garden interspersed with 45 hectares of precision vineyards. Farming practices across the property include experimenting with indigenous cover crops. In addition, the estate has cleared 15 hectares of pine forest and invasive alien species, and approximately 10 percent of the estate is set aside for the restoration of Renosterveld.

The vineyard slopes range from 200 metres to nearly 400 metres above sea level and are predominantly south-facing. Across the estate, the soils predominantly consist of well-drained Oakleaf and Tukula soil types developed from a granite base. The varieties of grapes grown on the estate include Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
