Vincent Pinard Chêne Marchand Sancerre 2023

Complex and enticing wine with a medium intensity, featuring a peach appearance and a stone-like texture. On the palate, it exhibits a chalky quality, which is even by a papaya-inspired aftertaste.

Clean and lively Sancerre from a renowned winery, boasting a consistent and smooth profile with a focus on minerality, acidity, and a subtle sweetness of citrus, honey, and grass notes.

Rich and full-bodied Sancerre from a 40-year-old vineyard, displaying the warm vintage conditions and whole-bunch fermentation. The aging process in fûts (50% new) and inox has added richness and body to the wine. The nose is shaped by a cohesive blend of pear, apple, lemon curd, and pineapple, with gentle layers of acacia flowers and hay. The flavor is dense and powerful, with a pleasing body and profiles of pear, granny apple, and chalky notes. The acidity is well-balanced, and the conclusion is long and savory. As the wine continues to mature, it is expected to become even more detailed and promising.
