This Robert Craig Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a full-bodied, complex and balanced red wine. On the nose, it has notes of blackberry, black currant and dark chocolate. On the palate, it has intense flavors of black fruits, graphite, licorice, espresso and a hint of oak. The tannins are firm but supple, leading to a long finish. This is an excellent expression of the Howell Mountain terroir.

Nermis
Rich and multi faceted wine with a deep, dense color and a gentle texture. The nose is shaped by by layers of cocoa, oak, and white pepper, with subtle flavors of fresh coffee and inky fruit. The mouthfeel is full and rich, with a smooth, creamy tactile quality and a aftertaste that resonates nicely. Overall, a very nice wine with a well-balanced profile and a subtle, sophisticated character.
Jaybones
Robust and intricate blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot, with a rich and supple texture. The fruit is dark and intense, with undertones of chocolate, new leather, and licorice, but a delicate spice and lavender note adds profoundness and nuance. The trail is long and satisfying, with a hint of aging potential. A fabulous investment for the price, with a projected peak in 2038. A well-crafted blend that will continue to evolve over time.

Robert Craig's Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon receives praise for its bold structure and aging potential, with reviewers highlighting rich dark fruit flavors (blackberry, plum), firm tannins, and full-bodied texture. While some find it approachable now with decanting, others emphasize its need for further maturation. The wine balances fruit-forward intensity with notes of leather, spice, and oak, though a few note occasional overpowering tannins in younger vintages.
