Robert Craig

Robert Craig is a Napa Valley winery whose hands-on approach began with Bob and Lynn Craig. Elton Slone arrived in 2004 and led reinvestment in farming, winemaking and sales; he serves as president, CEO and managing partner. Bob and Lynn retired in 2018, and Jason was named winemaker in January 2020.

On Howell Mountain, the Winery Estate Vineyard grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, while Candlestick Ridge also has Syrah and Grenache. The vineyards also extend to Mount Veeder, where the 6.5-acre Amentet vineyard grows Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc at 1,700 feet. Farming work includes converting one site to cane pruning since 2009, with an individual plan for the amount of fruit each vine must ripen.
