Nancho
Masterclass in intricacy and nuance, this Barolo Chinato is a true standout. As a connoisseur of the Nebbiolo varietal, I was not surprised by its bold and refined character. The aromas are a masterful blend of herbs, port-like notes, and light accents of mint and cocoa, all of which are expertly integrated. The full-bodied and high-acidity profile is impeccably balanced, with a succulent taste coating tactile quality that will leave you wanting more. A truly elite wine.

Pio Cesare Barolo Chinato is praised for its sophisticated blend of herbal and spicy notes, with hints of quinine, prunes, licorice, and honey. While some appreciate its balance of sweet and bitter flavors, others find it lacks acidity. Its unique profile is likened to Fernet Branca, with a smooth finish and a slightly sweet aftertaste, making it a standout choice for those seeking a complex wine experience.
Pio Cesare Barolo Chinato is a captivating expression of Piedmontese tradition, showcasing a deep garnet hue. The nose unfolds with a complex bouquet of dried rose petals, dark cherry, and exotic spices, underscored by a subtle medicinal herbaceousness. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious balance between the rich, bittersweet chocolate and the vibrant acidity, which elevates its aromatic depth. The finish is long and persistent, with nuances of licorice and a hint of balsamic reduction, marking it as a quintessential digestif. This Chinato stands as a benchmark for its category, offering both complexity and elegance.
