Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, plush cherry color and a delicate note of sweetness, consistent by a crisp, dry finish.

Bold and full-bodied wine with a deep, dense ruby colour, its nose is lifted by scents of red and opaque fruits, spices, and oak, at the same time its impression is dry and full-bodied, with concentrated undertones of blackcurrant, blackberries, and cherries paired by oak ageing nuances of vanilla, clove, and cocoa, with a long and enjoyable finish.

What the web is saying

Peter Franus Napa Valley Red is celebrated for its full-bodied richness, featuring dark fruit flavors and oak-derived vanilla/clove nuances. While praised for balanced structure and smooth finishes (especially in older vintages), some note occasional dryness or astringency. Reviews highlight its complexity, with 80% of ratings at 4.0/5 or higher.

Voss Experts4.5

Peter Franus Napa Valley Red presents a captivating array of aromas that unfold beautifully in the glass. The nose is an enticing blend of ripe blackberry and blackcurrants, intertwining with subtle notes of cedar and freshly ground espresso, hinting at depth and complexity. As the wine opens up, whispers of cinnamon emerge, complemented by a delicate floral essence. On the palate, the wine showcases a velvety texture that flows effortlessly, with a rich core of dark fruits seamlessly integrated with hints of chocolate and a touch of violets carry on the finish.
