What the web is saying

Orin Swift Eight Years In The Desert is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with flavors of blackberry, plum, and oak. While many appreciate its smooth texture and complex layers, some find it overly sweet or lacking in depth. The wine's bold fruit-forward nature and spicy undertones make it a favorite for pairing with hearty dishes, though its high alcohol content may not suit all palates.

This full-bodied red blend from Orin Swift is a unique expression of a desert-aged wine. Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, Eight Years In The Desert is an intense and complex wine with layers of dark fruit and spice. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and roasted coffee beans are complemented by hints of anise, clove, and dark chocolate. On the palate, the blend of these varietals creates an elegantly structured wine with flavors of blackberry, dark plums, licorice, and a subtle hint of smokiness. The finish is long and lingering with a soft tannic structure. This is a well-crafted wine that is sure to delight the palate.
