The season's festive tones are perfectly captured in this Beaujolais, with a rich, polished grip and a understated body that belies its light, dry character. A delightful pairing for the holiday season, but I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of the 22 Nouveau, which promises to deliver even more excitement and complexity.
Putra
Rich, full-bodied wine with a bold purple sheen and a velvety texture. The nose is dominated by black cherry and crushed violet, with a gentle wisp of spice and a touch of sweetness. The flavor is ripe and luscious, with a focus on black cherry and crushed violet, but also a whisper of minerality that adds body and complexity. The finale is long and satisfying, with a subtle oak influence and a lingering pepper and caramel note. Overall, a solid and friendly wine with a smooth, easy-drinking quality.
Kanandra
Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, mellow grip and a complex, multifaceted character. The nose is highlighted by intense, rich fruit aromas and gentle undertones of spice and warm, aromatic spices. As it ages, the wine reveals a more nuanced and graceful profile, with a bracing tanginess and a firm, tannic structure. The lasting impression is long and satisfying, with a soft undertone of sweetness. Overall, a fabulous worth for the price, with a long-term potential for significant improvement and aging potential.

This Morgon offers rich, full-bodied character with prominent black cherry and spice notes, though some find flavors muddled. While praised for velvety texture and aging potential, occasional off-putting descriptors like wet cement appear. Reviews highlight a tension between polished complexity and divisive elements.
