Pungent, unripe pear with a sharp, acidic bite, its mineral nuances and underripe consistency make for a intricate and enticing fruit experience.

I have mixed feelings about Rieslings, but this particular Kabinett is markedly dry.

Refreshing and zesty wine with a elegant balance of sweetness and acidity. The lively acidity provides a soft tingling sensation on the palate, as the floral flavors of apple and tangerine add a touch of elegance. The tertiary vanilla flavor adds intensity and finesse to the wine, making it a stellar in the Riesling category.

What the web is saying

The Lucashof Riesling presents a complex profile with both praised and polarizing elements. While some appreciate its refreshing zest, elegant balance of sweetness and acidity, and floral notes of apple and tangerine complemented by vanilla, others find the sharp acidity and unripe pear flavors challenging. Mineral nuances and a dry character contribute to its intricate nature.

Voss Experts4.5

This Lucashof Riesling presents with a pale straw hue, revealing a bouquet of vibrant lime zest, white peach, and subtle petrol nuances, characteristic of its varietal pedigree. On the palate, it showcases a precise balance of racy acidity and a delicate sweetness, underscoring its Mosel origins. The mouthfeel is both lithe and textured, with mineral undertones that evoke wet slate and a whisper of honeysuckle. The finish is long and crisp, leaving a lingering impression of green apple and a hint of flinty complexity. This Riesling stands as a quintessential expression of its terroir, ideal for connoisseurs seeking a classic German example.
