L'Ecole No 41 Chenin Blanc Old Vines is praised for its harmonious blend of honeysuckle, pear, and citrus notes, with a velvety and smooth mouthfeel. While some appreciate its crisp acidity and floral undertones, others find it lacks finesse. The wine's minerality and subtle sweetness are highlighted, making it a refreshing choice for various pairings, though a few note an overpowering butyric acid presence.
This Chenin Blanc, sourced from venerable old vines, presents a luminous straw hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of quince, honeysuckle, and ripe pear, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious interplay of vibrant acidity and a textured, medium-bodied mouthfeel, showcasing flavors of baked apple, lemon curd, and a hint of almond. The finish is elegantly prolonged, with a saline edge that speaks to its terroir.
