What the web is saying

Joseph Cattin Cattin Sauvage Riesling is praised for its delicate floral flavors, including dandelion and pear, and a smooth, light body with creamy chalk, stone fruit, and honey notes. While some enjoy its sweet and zesty profile, others find it dense and powerful. Voss Experts4.5

This Alsatian Riesling presents a pale straw hue with green reflections, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. The nose is a symphony of lime zest, white peach, and wet slate, underscored by a subtle floral lift. On the palate, it reveals a precise, linear structure with racy acidity that accentuates its mineral backbone. The mid-palate is layered with notes of green apple and a hint of ginger spice, leading to a long, saline finish. This wine exemplifies the classic Alsace style, offering both finesse and depth, making it a benchmark for dry Rieslings from the region.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
