This vivacious Gamay from Jean-Baptiste Duperray is a quintessential expression of Beaujolais' playful yet precise style. Its translucent ruby hue introduces a bouquet of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and a whisper of violet, underscored by a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, the wine is light-bodied yet structured, with a vibrant acidity that enlivens the juicy fruit core. Silky tannins provide a gentle grip, leading to a refreshing, slightly peppery finish. This wine embodies the 'glou-glou' ethos, offering immediate pleasure while showcasing the finesse and charm typical of the region's best offerings.

Balognes
Evolved essence with undertones of raspberry, cherry, and green undertones, elevated by traces of orange zest and kiwi. The flavor profile is bold and fruity, with a tannic backbone and a nuanced smokiness, nostalgic of burnt wood. The tactile quality is medium to dark, with a firm structure. even as this wine may not be a traditional Beaujolais, its flavor profile is reminiscent of the 2020 vintage, and the label claims that 2020 is the same as 2021. The price is 3.9.
Jimmetta
Versatile wine that paired well with a variety of dishes, offering spiced pork loin chops, a squash casserole, and a fresh salad.

Jean-Baptiste Duperray Glou-Glou Gamay is praised for its bold, fruity flavors with notes of raspberry, cherry, and strawberry, complemented by hints of mint and orange zest. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and elegant charm, others note a smokiness reminiscent of burnt wood. It's versatile, pairing well with various dishes, and offers good value for everyday drinking.
