Franco Serra Gavi is praised for its refreshing and zesty profile, with prominent citrus, pear, and apple notes. Many appreciate its clean, dry finish and light body, making it ideal for warm weather and seafood pairings. While some find it straightforward and elegant, others note a subtle minerality and floral undertones. A few reviews mention a hint of kerosene, adding complexity.
This Gavi presents a pale straw hue, indicative of its youth and vibrancy. On the nose, it offers a refined bouquet of white peach, lemon zest, and delicate floral notes, underscored by a subtle minerality that speaks to its Piedmontese terroir. The palate is crisp and linear, with a precise acidity that enlivens flavors of green apple and almond. A whisper of salinity adds depth, leading to a clean, invigorating finish. This wine exemplifies the classic Gavi style, balancing elegance with a refreshing clarity, making it an ideal companion to seafood or light pasta dishes.
