What the web is saying

Esporão Monte Velho Tinto is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of red and black fruits, oak, and spice. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and balanced structure, others find it lacks complexity and depth. The wine is versatile, pairing well with meats and spicy dishes, making it a reliable choice for everyday drinking. However, some vintages are noted for being overly dry or lacking intensity.

Esporão Monte Velho Tinto is a robust and full-bodied red wine from Portugal. Its deep ruby color hints at the richness of its flavors. On the nose, aromas of ripe red and black fruit, as well as hints of vanilla, pepper, and cinnamon, are complemented by a touch of toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and smooth, with flavors of sweet cherry, plum, and ripe blackberry. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of spice and oak. Esporão Monte Velho Tinto is an excellent and complex wine that can be enjoyed with roast meats, grilled vegetables, and hard cheeses.
