Duplin Cool Muscadine 2020

Duplin Cool Muscadine receives mixed reactions for its pronounced sweetness, appealing to fans of sugary wines but polarizing others. Positive notes highlight crisp strawberry flavors and a rich texture, while critics find it overly sweet. It's frequently described as suitable for casual occasions despite divisive opinions on sugar levels.

A vibrant expression of the Muscadine grape, this wine presents a pale straw hue with a pronounced aromatic bouquet of honeysuckle, ripe peach, and a hint of gardenia. On the palate, it offers a luscious, semi-sweet profile with a refreshing burst of acidity that balances its inherent sweetness. Notes of juicy pear and tropical fruit are underscored by a subtle minerality, leading to a clean, crisp finish. While not intended for aging, this wine is a delightful example of the varietal's charm, perfect for immediate enjoyment and a quintessential representation of Southern viticulture.
