Duplin is a winery in Rose Hill, North Carolina, founded by brothers David Fussell Sr. and Dan, who invested their savings in planting muscadines in 1972 before opening the winery in 1976 with investment from their father, D.J. Fussell. Production grew to 47,000 gallons and reached nearly 3 million gallons. David’s sons, Dave Jr. and Jonathan, realized their father’s dream.

The Fussell family grows muscadine grapes, Vitis rotundifolia, to make sweet wines. Grapes are pressed quickly to extract the juice, which then undergoes cold fermentation. Its wines include Scuppernong, first made in 1976, with a range of up to 40 labels using grapes from estate vineyards and family farms.
On VinoVoss, Duplin has 14 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white, 1 rosé, 10 dessert. Their average rating is 3.7 out of 5 from 109 ratings.
