This Chablis 1er Cru 'Les Fourneaux' from Domaine Bachelier presents a luminous pale straw hue, indicative of its vibrant youth. The nose unfurls with precision, showcasing classic Chablis minerality intertwined with aromas of green apple, lemon zest, and a whisper of white florals. On the palate, it is impeccably structured, with a taut, steely backbone and a lively acidity that underscores its freshness. The mid-palate reveals subtle layers of wet stone and a hint of saline, culminating in a lingering, chalky finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and purity characteristic of premier cru Chablis, offering both immediate appeal and potential for graceful aging.

Natavan
Harmonious equilibrium of tropical fruit and citrus notes, with a nuanced minerality that adds layers and depth to the palate. The crispness and residual sugar levels work in tandem to create a long and silky finish, making for an incredibly graceful and gratifying experience.
Jahnna
Les Fourneaux is a notable Chablis 1er Cru 'climats' situated on the right bank of the river Serein, perched atop a hill, with south/southeast exposure. A subtle wine, still in its youth, and possessing a tart character, it pairs well with rich, fatty foods (creamy cheeses, salmon, sushi/sashimi, fried calamari, etc.) to fully express its potential. The wine is defined by a perfume of citrus, green apple, and crushed river rocks, at the same time its acidity, body, and tail are notable. A lengthy and bitter conclusion on grapefruit, lemon, and bread crumb.
Elisabeth
Lively and vibrant wine with a floral nose that gives way to grassy, herbaceous notes. The texture is similarly fresh, with a focus on green apple, lemon, and lime, balanced by a dash of acidity and minerality. The wine's backbone is sturdy, with a delicate earthy undertone, notably in the finish. Overall, a solid but unremarkable wine that doesn't quite live up to its potential.
