What the web is saying

Daniele Conterno Barolo is praised for its rich, fruit-forward profile and smooth, balanced tannins. While some appreciate its deep, polished texture and earthy leather notes, others find its price not justifiable. The wine is noted for its crisp finish and complexity, attributed to aging. It offers a supple finish with mild oak spice, though opinions vary on its value for money.

Voss Experts4.6

The 2018 Daniele Conterno Barolo presents a garnet hue with a bouquet that unfurls layers of dried rose petals, cherry compote, and hints of anise. On the palate, it reveals a robust structure with finely grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that underscores its age-worthy potential. The mid-palate is enriched with flavors of black cherry, licorice, and a whisper of truffle, leading to a long, mineral-infused finish. This Barolo exemplifies the classic elegance and power of Nebbiolo, offering a benchmark expression of the region's terroir and a testament to its winemaking heritage.
