Collina Serragrilli Barbaresco is a prestigious Italian red wine hailing from the Barbaresco region in Piedmont. This wine is crafted from the Nebbiolo grape variety, which is known for producing complex and age-worthy wines. On the nose, it offers an enticing bouquet of dried roses, violets, and red berries, accompanied by subtle notes of tar, leather, and earth. On the palate, this Barbaresco showcases a harmonious balance between its firm tannins and vibrant acidity. The flavors are rich and layered, with ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries taking the spotlight. As the wine evolves in the glass, it reveals additional nuances of licorice, forest floor, and truffle, adding complexity and depth. Collina Serragrilli Barbaresco is renowned for its ability to age gracefully, often improving in the bottle for several decades. It is recommended to decant this wine for at least an hour before serving to allow its aromas and flavors to fully develop. Pairing this wine with traditional Italian dishes such as risotto, braised meats, or aged cheeses would be an excellent choice. The wine's structure and complexity will complement and enhance the flavors of these dishes, creating a memorable dining experience. Overall, Collina Serragrilli Barbaresco is a remarkable wine that embodies the elegance and character of the Barbaresco region. Its refined nature and exceptional aging potential make it a favorite among wine enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Sceptical
Wine that exudes refinement and poise, with a elegant stability of fruit and light nuances. The fruit is ripe and luscious, with a silky feel that belies its richness. The wine's elegant structure is tempered by a mild oak influence, adding layers and complexity. The brightness is crisp and well-balanced, at the same time the tannins are silky and refined, leaving a contenting finish.
Dioriu
Rather flat structure, not worth the investment, and already past its prime with only 8 years of age.
Tomik
Initially, the wine was a 4, but it underwent a transformation after a few hours of exposure to air, resulting in a more harmonious and polished finish.

Collina Serragrilli Barbaresco is praised for its rich fruit flavors, silky tannins, and elegant structure. While some vintages like 2016 and 2015 are noted for their complexity and balance, others like 2008 may feel past their prime. The wine often features nuances of blackberry, cherry, and earthy undertones, with a refined finish that pairs well with rich dishes.
