Cline is always a fascinating and affordable wine. This is the first vegan wine I've encountered. It has a remarkably understated and unassuming nose. Clearly, the fining material contributes to a more subdued flavor profile, which is a welcome aspect given the vanilla's muted presence. It begins with a pleasant, slightly grassy and underripe cherry, paprika, and a touch of oak, followed by a soft red fruit profile.

What the web is saying

Cline Farmhouse is praised for its rich, fruity flavors, including cherry and plum, and a smooth, silky texture. It offers a well-balanced blend with subtle spice and oak notes, making it a versatile and affordable option. While some find it robust and satisfying, others note a dry finish or an underwhelming complexity. Its approachable nature and value make it a popular choice for everyday drinking.

The Cline Farmhouse is a delightful wine that showcases the best of California's vineyards. It is a blend of various red grape varieties, resulting in a complex and well-balanced wine. On the nose, you can expect aromas of ripe berries, cherries, and a hint of spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with flavors of dark fruits, vanilla, and a touch of oak. The tannins are smooth and integrated, providing a long and satisfying finish. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses.
