Valtyr
A luscious, fruit-forward Beau-J that bursts with freshness, its cherry and raspberry undertones dancing on the palate with effortless elegance. As it lingers, light blackberry and deep fruit accents emerge, adding depth and complexity. A gratifying finish, with a nuance of freshness that leaves you wanting another sip.
Seor Cussey
Dry, high-acidity red with a fruity nose and a slightly tannic finish, but ultimately unremarkable.
Smudge
Aged Gamay Noir from 40-year-old vines, carefully hand-harvested with 5-7 days whole bunch maceration, yielding light red fruit aromas with underlying white pepper. The fruit is light, fruity, and well-balanced, with a soft texture. as the wine is enjoyable, it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi, making it a solid, if unremarkable, choice.

Château de Pizay Beaujolais presents contrasting opinions, with praise for its elegant structure, cherry-dominated fruit profile, and smooth drinkability. While many appreciate its light-bodied freshness and approachable character, critics note a lack of complexity and occasional short finishes. The wine shows consistent fruit-forward expression across vintages, though some find it fails to leave a lasting impression.
A vibrant garnet hue introduces this quintessential Beaujolais, exuding an aromatic bouquet of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and a hint of violet. The palate is lively and supple, showcasing a harmonious interplay of juicy red fruit and subtle earthiness. Fine-grained tannins provide a gentle structure, while a bright acidity ensures a refreshing finish. This wine exemplifies the region's hallmark of finesse and approachability, offering a delightful expression of Gamay that is both versatile and engaging. Ideal for immediate enjoyment, it pairs beautifully with charcuterie or a light poultry dish.
