Voss Expert4.5/5

Voss Expert tasting note

This Langhe Nebbiolo presents a garnet hue with a translucent rim, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. The nose is a captivating bouquet of red cherry, rose petals, and hints of anise, underscored by a subtle earthiness. On the palate, it showcases a medium-bodied structure with finely grained tannins and a lively acidity that frames the wine's core of sour cherry and dried herbs. The finish is elegantly persistent, with a whisper of mineral complexity. This wine is a commendable expression of Nebbiolo, reflecting the finesse and aromatic precision typical of the Langhe region.

Cantine Povero Langhe Nebbiolo is crafted from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy, known for its rolling hills and temperate climate. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural acidity and fruit character, followed by aging in large oak barrels to add subtle complexity. This Nebbiolo offers a medium-bodied profile with bright red fruit flavors, balanced by firm tannins and a hint of earthy minerality. It is designed to be approachable in its youth while also having the potential to develop further with age.
