This Buglioni Il Bugiardo Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore is a robust and complex red wine made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Oseleta grapes. The wine has a deep ruby red color with a hint of purple. The nose is intense and fragrant with notes of ripe red cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe tannins and a smooth, long finish. The flavors are dominated by blackberry, dark cherry, and sweet spices, with hints of espresso and licorice. The wine is well-balanced and nicely integrated, with a lingering persistence on the finish. Overall, this is a delicious and complex Ripasso, with great intensity and finesse.

Punselie
Decent, if unremarkable, Ripasso from Veneto, Italy. It's a bit more robust than its sibling Valpolicella, but still falls short of being exceptional. The fruit flavors are somewhat muted, with a dash of cherry, chocolate, and a touch of liquorice. A pleasant, if unexciting, wine experience. Wine tasting in Leiden, Netherlands. @Wijnkoperij Henri Bloem
Fagi
Bold and textured wine with a cohesive cohesion of savoury and sweet notes, complemented by a delicate oak influence. A medium-bodied wine with a dense ruby colour, it displays a delightful combination of flavours, including a whisper of tart cherry.
Oddgeir
Intense and multi faceted Valpolicella with a bold, dry character that belies a gentle finish, thanks to the strength of leather and toasted cedar notes. The fruit suggestions of cherry, raspberry, and rhubarb linger on the palate, leaving a comforting finish.

Buglioni Il Bugiardo Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of cherry, chocolate, and spices. Some find it bold and well-balanced, while others feel it's unremarkable. It often features a smooth texture and complex flavors, including oak and leather. While some vintages are celebrated for their depth, others are seen as less impressive.
