Wine that exceeded my initial expectations, despite not quite living up to the standards I had set for it. Rich, deep fruit tastes with a layers that was satisfying, but not overly complex. The lasting impression was long and satisfying, with a racy crispness that cut through the richness. A wine that was more than adequate, but not notably impressive.
