I acquired this wine out of curiosity, having sampled local wines though skiing in Südtirol, but had never encountered wines from that region on sale in the UK before. This is a decent effort: it offers a vibrant cohesion of orchard fruits and bracing minerality, with a balanced level of acidity. I'll continue to monitor for more opportunities to discover.

The first wine in the blind class tasting was a notable departure from the typical sharp flavor profile, yet it presented a remarkably consistent taste experience.
Udeshika Ajemian
Delicate and elegant white wine, with gentle undertones of green apple and peach, offering a mellow and bracing savoring experience.

This Pinot Bianco receives praise for its vibrant fruit flavors, bracing minerality, and balanced acidity, with many noting its elegant profile. While most appreciate its crisp citrus and green apple notes paired with a clean finish, some reviews mention it lacks depth and sophistication. The wine's versatility in pairing and refreshing character make it a crowd-pleaser, though consistency across vintages varies.
A luminous straw hue introduces the Andrian Finado Pinot Bianco, a wine that epitomizes Alto Adige's finesse. The nose unfolds with precision, offering a bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle, and a whisper of almond blossom, underscored by a mineral edge. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious interplay of crisp acidity and a creamy texture, carrying flavors of ripe pear and subtle citrus zest. The finish is elegantly persistent, with a saline minerality that speaks to its alpine terroir. This Pinot Bianco stands as a benchmark for varietal expression and regional typicity, ideal for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
