Torre a Cona was bought in 1882 by Leone Emilio Padoa, who began renovating the winery and agricultural annexes the following year. Napoleone Rossi di Montelera purchased Torre a Cona in 1935, and the estate is owned by the Rossi di Montelera family.

It covers approximately 200 hectares total, with 19 hectares of vineyards, and encompasses seven vineyards. The winery uses temperature-controlled tanks for fermentation and maceration, and wines age in large oak casks located in an underground barrel cellar. Its wines include Vin Santo, which is aged for approximately five years in small oak barrels called caratelli.
