Tornesi

The winery Tornesi was founded in 1865. In 1967, Gino Tornesi registered his vineyards for Brunello, becoming one of the first members of the Consortium. Later, Maurizio Tornesi started commercial production in 1993 with Rosso di Montalcino, and he started commercial production in 1998 with Brunello.

Tornesi is located in Località le Benducce, Montalcino. The estate's vineyards are planted at elevations of 300 meters and 570 meters above sea level. The grapes grown on the estate are Sangiovese Grosso. These vineyards are cultivated using integrated pest management, without herbicides, and with organic fertilization. For winemaking, a new stone cellar was built in 2009. Its wines include Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello.
