Tenuta Sette Ponti's Vigna dell'Impero vineyard was planted in 1935 by Duke Amedeo di Savoia d'Aosta between Florence and Arezzo. In the 1950s, architect Alberto Moretti Cuseri purchased the initial 55 hectares from Princesses Margherita and Maria Cristina di Savoia d'Aosta. Antonio Moretti Cuseri took charge of his father's estate during the 1990s, and his sons Amedeo and Alberto joined management in 2018. The name Tenuta Sette Ponti evokes the seven bridges over the Arno river on the route connecting Florence to Arezzo.

The estate has 60 hectares of vineyards ventilated by breezes from the adjacent Pratomagno. Antonio Moretti Cuseri began transitioning the estate to sustainable and organic viticulture in the early 2000s. Farming combines high planting density, spurred cordon, low bud counts per vine, and green manure cover crops including oats, fava beans, vetch, and radish. Its wines include Crognolo, released in 1998; Oreno, an IGT Toscana created in 1999; and Vigna dell'Impero, a Valdarno di Sopra DOC wine made from 100% Sangiovese from a 1935 vineyard.
