Tenuta Monteti

Tenuta Monteti was founded in 1998 by Gemma and Paolo Baratta, and consultant Carlo Ferrini has supported the estate from the beginning. The winery was completed in 2004, the year of their first vintage. Daughter Eva and husband Javier Pedrazzini joined the management in 2010, and Michela Bussu joined Tenuta Monteti in 2022 as enologist and cellar manager.

The estate is located in a valley in the foothills 15 km from the sea at an average altitude of 145 meters, encompassing 142 hectares total, with 30 hectares of vineyards and 20 hectares of olive groves. Grapes grown are Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Alicante Bouschet, and Mourvèdre. The winery is built two-thirds underground and designed for gravity-flow and parcel-by-parcel winemaking, and its wines include Monteti, Caburnio, TM Rosé.
