Schiopetto is a winery in Capriva del Friuli whose founder, Mario Schiopetto, began producing wine in 1963. He made his first pure Tocai in 1965. In 1970, he rented the vineyards around the Archbishop’s Palace at Capriva from the church, renovated them completely and acquired them in 1989. His children Maria Angela, Carlo and Giorgio gradually joined him in running the business. Ownership passed to the Rotolo family in April 2014, with Emilio and his son Alessandro continuing its mission.

Set in the Collio, the estate has ponca soils, a typical Friulian marl composed mainly of limestone and clay. Vineyard development has included high-density planting and mixed vineyards containing different grape varieties to create field blends.
On VinoVoss, Schiopetto has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 46 ratings.
