Venica & Venica

Venica & Venica is a winery in Collio DOC, founded in 1930 when Daniele purchased the core estate. Expansion continued with Sauvignon planting on Cerò hill’s north-west slope in 1981, followed by the purchase of the valley-floor Jesera vineyard in 1982. In 1993, acquisition of the entire Cerò hill was completed, bringing that holding to 12 hectares.

The vineyards extend across 40 hectares on different Collio hills, with Chardonnay grown on five hectares in Bernizza and Pinot Grigio planted in Jesera. The winery joined the V.I.V.A. Sustainable Wine project in 2011. Its wines include Ronco delle Cime, Jesera, Ronco del Cerò and Ronco delle Mele, with grapes for the latter coming from the north-west slope where Sauvignon planting began in 1981.
