Picollo Ernesto

The winery Picollo Ernesto was founded in 1945 by Lorenzo Picollo. The estate is located in Rovereto di Gavi. Its 16 hectares of vineyards are planted exclusively with Cortese and are predominantly south-facing with clay and marl soils. No artificial pesticides or herbicides are used in the vineyards, and the grapes are hand harvested. During winemaking, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by natural decantation, and the wines traditionally remain on the lees until bottling. Its wines include Gavi wines, which are fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel.
