The Oddero family has been present in La Morra since at least the 18th century, with Giovanni Battista Oddero and his sons Lorenzo and Luigi cultivating and vinifying grapes between the late 18th and 19th centuries. By the late 19th century, Oddero Barolo was exported to the Americas in small oak casks, and in 1911, Oddero Barolo was featured at the Turin International Exposition. The winery is led by Giacomo Oddero's daughter Mariacristina and grandchildren Isabella and Pietro.

The estate includes 35 hectares of vineyards, and a new winery building designed with modern insulation and energy-saving techniques was completed in 2015. Large oak casks from Austria, Slavonia, and France are used to age classic and single-vineyard Barolo, Barbaresco Gallina, Barbera d'Alba, and Nizza.
On VinoVoss, Oddero has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 144 ratings.
