Nickel & Nickel is a Napa Valley winery founded by the Far Niente Partners in 1997 to explore single-vineyard sites across the valley’s nested appellations. Joe Harden serves as its Director of Winemaking.
Its Oakville farmstead includes the pre-revolutionary Gleason Barn, a fermentation cellar and a barrel room. In the vineyards, the viticulture team adapts farming to each site’s requirements, considering soil, rootstock, clonal selection and exposure. With a focus on 100-percent varietal wines, its wines include more than 20 Cabernet Sauvignons expressing different Napa Valley regions and vineyard sites. Alongside these, it makes single-vineyard Chardonnays from select Far Niente estate vineyard blocks to explore another dimension of aromas, flavors and textures.
