Mas Peyre

Mas Peyre is a family wine estate in Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, in the Agly valley, run by independent winegrowers since 2003. The estate has practised organic farming since 2009.

The estate covers 30 hectares, including 10 hectares of vines, and all its cuvées come from certified organic agriculture. Its vineyards include old plots of bush-trained Grenache noir, some a hundred years old, alongside more recent trellised Syrah plantings. Mechanical harvesting brings in healthy grapes at optimal ripeness, and this quality allows long macerations, particularly for red wines, to express the grapes’ potential and characteristics. After tasting, the contents of the vats are blended for ageing in vats or oak barrels.
