Margherita Otto

Margherita Otto is a winery in Monforte d’Alba, officially founded in 2015. In 2017, operations moved into a newly renovated cellar beneath a home in Monforte d’Alba. Its first release, in May 2019, was the 2015 vintage Barolo.

Vineyard sites include Ginestra in Monforte d’Alba, a plot bordering an MGA in Serralunga, and the Vignane and Coste di Rose MGAs in Barolo. Plantings include Nebbiolo and Chardonnay, while pruning, shoot thinning and harvesting are carried out by hand. Its wines include Barolo and, beginning with the 2019 vintage, Langhe Nebbiolo. The Barolo is a traditional blend of vineyard plots, made with co-fermentation, native yeasts, long maceration and long ageing in large botti.
