Leonetti Cellar was founded in 1977 by Gary and Nancy Figgins as the first commercial winery in Walla Walla. Chris Figgins, one of Gary and Nancy’s children, officially joined Leonetti in 1996 after earning a degree in Horticulture from Washington State University and became head winemaker in 2001.

Chris also directs the estate’s viticulture program across six vineyard sites: five in the Walla Walla Valley AVA and one in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Leonetti’s vineyards include Mill Creek Upland, Loess, Leonetti Old Block, Holy Roller and Serra Pedace. To care for its vineyards, the winery plants year-round cover crops to prevent erosion and enrich the soil, mows alternate rows to support flowering plants for beneficial insects, and uses mechanical weed control in place of herbicides. Its wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Reserve, Sangiovese and Aglianico.
On VinoVoss, Leonetti has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 103 ratings. Leonetti is in the top 10% of the 23 rated Washington State wineries on VinoVoss.
