Lamole di Lamole

Lamole di Lamole is a wine estate in Lamole, founded after the Second World War.

The estate covers 288 hectares, with 37 under vine. Its Storico vineyard, planted on 20 March 1945, contains 110 vines among which more than 30 different Sangiovese clones have been identified. A south-facing terraced vineyard at 540–580 metres has pale ochre macigno sands and vines trained in the traditional alberello lamolese form. Its wines include Vinsanto, sourced from a southwest-facing terraced cru at 598–655 metres. A conversion to sustainable land management began in 2005, and all its vineyards are farmed organically.
