In 1995, Robin Lail, her husband Jon, and their two daughters, Erin and Shannon, established Lail Vineyards. The winemaker is Philippe Melka.

The estate includes Mole Hill, a three-acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard with loam soil approximately two feet deep, planted in 1993 and 1994 beside a gorge on Howell Mountain at 1,700 feet with a western exposure. Another property covers two and a half acres at the north end of Yountville, where Merlot vines planted in 1988 were t-budded to Sauvignon Blanc in 2006 and 2007. Carbon farming practices include a transition to no-till and the addition of compost to reach net zero CO2 production or carbon sequestration.
On VinoVoss, Lail Vineyards has 4 wines in stock: 2 red, 2 white. Their average rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 168 ratings.
