Il Palazzone is owned by Kirsten and Peter Kern, and Maurizio Castelli serves as consultant winemaker. In October 2012, the estate finished its new winery building. The estate also acquired the adjacent vineyards of Società Albatreti.

The estate is located on the northwest slopes of Montalcino, less than 1 km from the town center. Its vineyards grow Sangiovese and include the 1.4-hectare Vigna Le Due Porte, which uses the Guyot growth system. Cover crops such as lupins and fava beans fertilize and nourish the soil. Grapes are hand-harvested using small 16 kg crates, and fermentation is carried out in 20 or 41 hL cement tanks or 50 hL wood barrels. Brunello is typically aged 25 to 40 months in wood. Its wines include Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC.
On VinoVoss, Il Palazzone has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 27 ratings.
