Govone

Govone is a cooperative wine producer founded in 1957, with members’ vineyards across Alba, Langhe, Roero, Asti and Monferrato. About 250 member growers supply the cooperative, which also works with enologist Claudio Dacasto.

The growers own and farm 300 hectares of vineyards, growing white varieties such as Cortese, red varieties such as Barbera d’Asti, and aromatic varieties including Moscato and Brachetto. Its wines include Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG and Piemonte DOC Brachetto, with annual production of about three million bottles. Each stage of processing is closely checked to meet the certification body’s requirements for the ISO 22000 standard.
