Giovanni Maria Fuligni established himself in Montalcino at the beginning of the 1900s to produce wine. Following the passing of Giovanni Maria Fuligni in 1971, his daughter Maria Flora took over the management of the estate.

The Fuligni estate spans approximately 100 hectares, fully cultivated, with vineyards covering approximately 14 hectares. Vineyards are situated partly on the northeastern side of the hill and planted in east-south exposures in mixed tuff and clay soils. The estate cultivates Sangiovese and Merlot. Vines are trained using the bilateral horizontal spurred cordon system, and harvesting is conducted manually with multiple passes through the rows and sorting table selection. Fuligni's original cellars for vinification and aging are situated under an 18th-century palazzo in Montalcino. Its wines include Brunello di Montalcino, Brunello Riserva, and Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto. Brunello di Montalcino is fermented with temperature control in stainless steel vessels no larger than 60 hl; about one-quarter is aged in 5-hl Allier tonneaux and approximately three-quarters in traditional Slavonian oak casks.
