Domaine Gilles Coperet is built on a multi-generational family tradition: in 1931, Jean Trichard succeeded his father Charles Trichard as a winegrower in Régnié. In 1986, fourth-generation winegrower Gilles Copéret took over his maternal grandfather Jean Trichard's estate and settled in Régnié-Durette. In 1999, the estate added a 1-hectare parcel of Fleurie following the retirement of Annie's parents.

Located in Régnié-Durette, the estate covers 7 hectares and has been Terra Vitis certified since 2018. Vineyard treatments follow rational, sustainable methods, and pruning is carried out primarily in gobelet or charmettes, while harvesting is done by hand with sorting directly in the vineyard. The estate also operates as a négociant-vinificateur purchasing grapes representing roughly 10% of activity, and its wines include Équation, Régnié, Morgon, Brouilly, and Fleurie.
