Château de La Chaize was founded in 1676 by Jean-François de La Chaize d’Aix, who bought the Seigneury of La Douze in Odenas in 1670. Its historic winery was constructed in 1771, and the château, gardens and winery were classified as Historic Monuments in 1972. Boris Gruy serves as oenologist and General Director.

The estate covers 450 hectares, including 110 hectares under vine, and has 24 cadastral named plots. Its grapes include Gamay, and its wines include Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Fleurie, Morgon and Beaujolais Blanc. Its first certified organic vintage in Brouilly was 2022. Grapes are harvested by hand over two weeks and transported in perforated 13-kg crates to prevent crushing and premature oxidation. Each parcel is vinified and aged separately. A network of wine pipes with a slope greater than 2% allows wine to flow by gravity from vinification through bottling.
On VinoVoss, Château de La Chaize has 2 wines in stock: 2 red. Their average rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 24 ratings.
