Jean-Félix and Frédéric Souret manage Domaine de Châteaumar, where vines are cultivated from father to son. The family estate is located 9 km from Orange. The estate produces wines under the Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellations. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard soil is covered with red clay and large rounded pebbles (galets roulés). The vineyard is planted mainly with Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. No weed killers are used, and the soil is plowed several times a year. Grapes are harvested entirely by hand at optimal ripeness, carefully selected and sorted. Traditional vinification in the cellars lasts for over 15 days. Wines are aged for 12 to 18 months before being bottled at the estate. Its wines include red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which is aged for 1 year in demi-muids.
On VinoVoss, Domaine de Châteaumar has 4 wines in stock: 3 red, 1 rosé. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 64 ratings.
