Maison Brotte was officially created in 1931, though in 1880, Mr. Amouroux and Mr. Clouplet, ancestors of Laurent and Christine Brotte, had planted vines that later became Domaines Barville and Grosset. In 1970, Charles Brotte's son Jean-Pierre took over the business and expanded into export markets. Laurent and Christine Brotte took over the family business in 2001, representing the fourth generation, and in 2015, the fifth generation, Thibault and Benoît Brotte, joined the estate alongside their parents.

The family house is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Vineyards include the 26.5-hectare Domaine Barville west of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 27.5-hectare Domaine Grosset in Cairanne with century-old Grenache vines, and Château de Bord in Laudun, a 33-hectare terraced property purchased in 1991. Grenache is the key grape, complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre for reds. Its wines include Domaine Barville AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Grosset AOC Cairanne, and Château de Bord AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Laudun.
On VinoVoss, Brotte has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 584 ratings.
