Domaine de Bel Air’s history includes Pierre Sadon, recorded as a winegrower in the parish of Pouilly in 1635. At the end of the 19th century, Louis Sadon settled in Le Bouchot and married Marie Chollet; they purchased the house and cellar of Bel Air, the estate’s headquarters. André Sadon, born in 1900, expanded the property. Katia and Cédric joined in the mid-1990s. Katia’s daughter Alexandra works alongside her uncle and mother.

Across Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint Andelain, the vineyards face south, southeast and east on Saint Andelain hill’s southeast slope. The estate grows Sauvignon, locally called Blanc Fumé, and Chasselas, with sustainable farming, regular soil cultivation and grass cover on over three quarters of the surface. The cellars in Le Bouchot use gravity-flow operations and temperature-regulated stainless steel or epoxy-coated concrete tanks. Winemaking includes pneumatic pressing, cold settling by gravity, temperature-controlled fermentation and aging on the lees. Wines include Pouilly Fumé and Pouilly sur Loire.
