Department 66 is a winery in Maury, in the Pyrenees mountains of southern France, established in 2008 by Dave Phinney. That year, following the sale of The Prisoner, Phinney accepted friends’ invitation to visit Maury and invited Richard to join him in setting up Department 66 as general manager. A small team farms the vineyards and runs the winery under Phinney’s direction as proprietor and winemaker.

The winery owns and maintains 300 acres (120 hectares) of vineyards among the Pyrénées-Orientales mountain range, with vines more than 60 years old. Black schist dominates the terroir, with small deposits of granite and limestone in the red, rocky soils known as angile.
On VinoVoss, Department 66 has 1 wine in stock: 1 red. Their average rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 16 ratings.
